Boye Doe, the visionary behind his eponymous fashion brand, has steadily gained international acclaim for his unique approach to design. Blending traditional Ghanaian craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics, Doe’s creations celebrate rich cultural heritage while pushing the boundaries of modern fashion. His signature cutting-edge designs, built around the themes of deconstruction and reconstruction, have captured the attention of industry experts and fashion enthusiasts alike.

Inspired by the mythical Ghanaian Sankofa bird, Boyedoe has set out to be a socially responsible and environmentally conscious brand that uses fashion as a conduit to reimagine its African heritage. Boyedoe made its international debut in 2020 as a finalist in the ARISE 30 Under 30 New Stars competition in Lagos, Nigeria. Since then, the brand has released four collections, each deeply rooted in culture, folklore, vibrant colours, rich textures, and eclectic patterns.

The LVMH Prize, launched in 2013 by the French luxury conglomerate, has become one of the most sought-after recognitions for emerging designers. With previous winners including Marine Serre and Thebe Magugu, the prize serves as a powerful launchpad for designers seeking to solidify their place in the luxury fashion industry.

The 20 semi-finalists will present their collections at the semi-final showroom, which will take place in Paris on 5th and 6th March 2025. Once again this year, the LVMH Prize will be held digitally on the dedicated website lvmhprize.com and will involve the general public. From 5th to 9th March, the public will be able to discover the designers and vote for their eight favourite candidates, just like the Experts.

On the occasion of the semi-final, the LVMH Prize Committee of Experts, made up of over 80 international fashion specialists, will select the eight finalists. The grand prize winner will receive a substantial grant of €400,000 along with a year-long mentorship from industry experts within LVMH. The winner of the runner-up Karl Lagerfeld Prize walks away with a €200,000 endowment and also enjoys a one-year mentorship. Finally, the Savoir-Faire Prize comes with a grant of €200,000 and a one-year mentorship.
