The annual Lagos Fashion Week returned this season with a dazzling display of fashion-forward designs, celebrity appearances, and a celebration of African creativity. From the runway to the front row, this year’s event, held at the Federal Palace in Lagos, did not disappoint. The show’s theme, “Commune,” highlighted fresh talents and rising designers who are reshaping the global fashion landscape while embracing African heritage.

The show’s opening night was a parade of stars, with Nigerian celebrities gracing the runway and the front row. From Afrobeat sensation Davido, who donned a regal top-to-toe brown traditional outfit from Nigerian Menswear Brand – Ugo Monye and Reality TV Star Dorathy Bachor strutting the runway show in a strapless brown midi dress designed with cut-out pieces for Hertunba, to veteran actress Kate Henshaw, who also walked the runway for Ejiro Amos Tafiri, the appearance of these high-profile artists emphasized the cultural link between Nigerian music and fashion.
