African Jewelry House, AKANO Diamonds Presents Chake – a New Chapter in Everyday Fine Jewelry
AKANO Diamonds, Nigeria’s haute joaillerie house and Africa’s first high jewelry house to debut at Paris Fashion Week, announces the launch of Chake — a new everyday fine jewelry collection of gold and diamond pieces designed for the rhythm of daily life.
Chake arrives at a defining moment in fine jewelry. As consumers increasingly move away from pieces reserved for occasions and toward jewelry that carries genuine investment-grade quality into everyday wear, AKANO Diamonds offers an answer that is both considered and deeply personal. Gold and diamond staples, delicate enough to feel effortless, substantial enough to last a lifetime.
The collection marks a thoughtful evolution for the house. Where the Omenala collection, presented at The Peninsula Paris in March 2026, established AKANO’s credentials on the international high jewelry stage, Chake introduces a new dimension: a more accessible entry point into the world of AKANO Diamonds, without compromise on quality, craftsmanship, or design intent. Each piece maintains the material weight and rigour the house is known for, at a price point that extends the brand’s invitation to a wider audience.

As with all AKANO Diamonds work, Chake begins with a hand sketch. Founder and creative director Akunna Nwala-Akano draws every piece herself, translating Igbo heritage and West African cultural symbolism into jewelry that is boldly rooted in African identity and completely at home on the international luxury stage. Chake carries that same philosophy into everyday: jewelry that says something about who you are before you have said a word.
Chake is for the woman who does not wait for permission to wear beautiful things. It is
Akunna Nwala-Akano, Founder and creative director of AKANO Diamonds
for every day — the ordinary Tuesday, the long morning, the quiet dinner. I wanted to
create pieces with real weight and real meaning that do not have to be saved. The right
moment is simply now.
