Renowned Nigerian fashion designer Veekee James, who was honoured with The Future Awards Africa 2023 Prize for Fashion, hosted The Future Awards Africa 2024 over the weekend, gracing the stage with her signature elegance and sophistication.

Her first look featured a combination of black corseted bodice with intricate beadwork, dramatic sleeves and a luxe golden bottom, highlighting her silhouette. She accessorized with a matching earpiece on one ear, keeping her look simple yet glamorous with a sleek bun.

2nd Look

Her next ensemble leaned into traditional elegance. She wore a striking yellow ensemble accented with hints of red, featuring a fitted bodice adorned with intricate beading and shimmering embellishments that sculpted her silhouette. The look was completed with a matching fan, a dramatic gele, a red coral jewelry set, and bold red makeup that added a vibrant pop of color, enhancing her regal and commanding presence.

3rd Look

Veekee closed the night with a daring avant-garde number. She captivated the audience in a breathtaking blue sculptural dress from MSO Lagos. This avant-garde creation, crafted in under 10 hours, featured voluminous, petal-like layers that framed her shoulders and cinched at the waist, sculpting a striking silhouette reminiscent of a blooming flower.
