The 2024 B&O 3 Music Awards, held on the night of September 28 at the Palm Convention Centre inside the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, delivered an electrifying night celebrating Ghana’s vibrant music scene.

The ceremony, which marked a triumphant return after a year-long hiatus, featured stunning performances and celebrated wins. The event saw electrifying performances from artists such as Kwesi Amewuga, Knii Lante, Enam, Sarfo Newman, and gospel acts Nacee and Piesie Esther.

Stonebwoy emerged as the biggest winner, taking home the coveted Artiste of the Year and Reggae/Dancehall Act of the Year awards. His dominance on the stage was mirrored by other prominent artists, such as Black Sherif, who secured Hiplife/Hip Hop Act of the Year, Performer of the Year, and Best Music Video for “Oil in My Head.”

Olivetheboy was another standout, winning Breakthrough Act of the Year, EP of the Year for Avana EP, and Afrobeats/Afropop Song of the Year for “Goodsin.” Amaarae received the prestigious Woman of the Year title, while Lali x Lola won Emerging Woman of the Year. The ever-popular King Promise’s “Terminator” clinched Viral Song of the Year.

Sarkodie added to his impressive collection by winning Hip Hop Song of the Year for “Otan,” while Gospel Song of the Year went to Nacee for “Aseda.” Other notable winners included Kofi Kinaata, who won Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year with “Effiekuma Love,” and KiDi, honored with Best Male Vocal Performance for “I Lied.”

In addition to the awards, the night was filled with powerful messages, including support for the #StopGalamsey campaign, urging action against illegal mining in Ghana.
