Teiko Dornor-Tagoe formerly Teiko Dornor, is a British Ghanaian who was a possible pioneer in the plus size modeling sector. Before the likes of celebrated plus size models Paloma Elsesser and Precious Lee, there was Teiko. In an era that she led, her face graced the covers of magazines like Sankofa Magazine and Mimi Magazine. Chosen to be the face of an installment of Virgin Islands Fashion Week, she graced the covers of two singles by Nicolay & Kay; ‘Timeline’ and ‘Tight Eyes’.

Teiko is due once again to be in front of the camera. This time she will be shot by Glenn Osei-Gyimah and styled by Marian Kwei (formerly Kihogo) in July for an editorial for STYLEAFRIQUE™•com. This will make for an all British Ghanaian team. This is a team that have worked together before over the years. Time might have flown by but Teiko’s magnetic beauty remains and it is understandable why she garnered such success years bygone during her era as a model. In images celebrating the beauty of fashion designs by designers of African origin, Teiko’s beauty is undeniable. It will be set against inspiring African design placed within the manicured gardens and spaces in London’s Hyde Park.

Marian’s styling will involve brands such as the Nigerian Bubu&co, Kifayath as helmed by Togolese Yoruba designer Kifa Yath, Mishanty, British Nigerian Soboye by Samson Soboye, Bwana Willy and designs from William Hase’s African Caribbean Emporium (A.C.E) in Hackney etc. The photos by British Ghanaian Glenn Osei-Gyimah will be a celebration of Africa and beauty. The editorial will be published on STYLEAFRIQUE™•com in July 2023.
