Evolutionary fashion installation at Afrochella 2021
Ghanaian culture activist and indigenous fashion promoter, Samuel Glenn Semakor popularly known in showbiz as GlennSamm is set to make a good impression with a new fashion style at this year’s Afrochella.
The Afrochella festival is a celebration of music, visual arts, and fashion. The artist will take his turn on Tuesday, December 28 to promote his works and has assured fashion enthusiasts of leaving a good impression in the fashion space with his new fashion installation.
Describing it as evolutionary, GlennSamm said, “In a gallery setting, you often walk around into an Installation— which expresses a new way to experience and appreciate art, this leaves a lasting memory after every visit.
My aim is to promote OneTribe among Africans with the help of my team KvngsOfTheNewSchool. They are ready to help me deliver to patrons beyond the borders of Africa” he said.
The 2021 Commercial Model of the Year winner at the Ghana Styles awards, pointed out that his Evolutionary Fashion Installation will cover the present and possible future outlook of African fashion.
” This Installation art shall be striking because my works shall leave the stage, screens, pages, and canvas, and find themselves in 3D space. This has been my dream from infancy and happy to bring it into reality at this year’s Afrochella,” he said.
He mentioned that his conviction in the huge potential of African fashion has encouraged him to lead a campaign for people of African descent to take pride in the African culture and portray themselves in that regard.
He stated that his aim is to introduce young Africans like himself to African values, beliefs, and traditions.
GlennSamm has worked with many fashion brands including Caveman Watches, Jameson Scotch Whiskey, and Johnnie Walker.
” If you want to succeed in the fashion industry, you must not only be blessed with the physical qualities/features, you also need to work considerably hard to satisfy the fashion directors with your personality traits,” he added.
