Earn the chance to walk for Africa Fashion Week London in August
Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) is the as largest catwalk and exhibition showcase in London-Europe, that features African and African-inspired designs.
We are holding an open casting call for all models based in the UK and Europe on the 25th of June 2017, from the hours of 2pm (1400 hr GMT) to 4pm (1600 hr GMT) at the Academic Mews Studios located in the heart of Camden Town, London (NW1 0AD).
Some personalities attending the casting include; CEO of Dam Model Management, Hassan Reese (Official Casting Director and AFWL veteran male model) who will on the looking for both genders that will be an asset to the AFWL and also to join his stable modeling agency.
As Samson Soboye, Head Stylist and Founder of Soboye brand(the other personality gracing the casting) will be looking for elegance, poise and the ability to show designs to the fullest on the catwalk, as well as also being fortunate to be part of the new faces he will use in the upcoming campaign for his brand.
There will be casting 2 shows; Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) Curated Catwalk at Africa Utopia on 15th of July 2017 and the main event will be on the 11th to 12th of August 2017 at Academy Mews Dance Studios, in the heart of Camden Town, London.
If you cannot make either date, but still would like to be seen by us for future reference, please attend this casting.
Africa Fashion Week London is a 2 day show. You will be expected to walk for at least 35 designers over the 2 days. This means lots of catwalk air time in front of an international audience and press. We are looking for at least 30 female models and 12-15 male models. The AFWL Curated Fashion Show at Africa Utopia is a small show and a 1 day assignment. You will be expected to walk 2 or 3 times. All catwalks done on both shows will be a paid assignment.

Minimum of 5’8″ in your bare feet.
UK Dress size 6-12
Any nationality
Please wear black leggings and a vest top.
Bring 3″ heels (court shoes preferably). NO WEDGES OR STRAPPED SANDALS.
Males:
Aged 18 or over
Minimum of 6’0″ in your bare feet.
Any nationality
Please wear jeans, t-shirt and formal shoes
Note: Remember to bring your Z-card or a recent photograph of yourself stapled to your correct measurements. Include your contact details on this sheet.
We will mentor you on how to walk for us. Be prepared to show your walk over and over again, and most importantly, do not be shy. So put your best foot forward and you could be placed at one of our catwalk shows.
Doors open at 2pm for catwalk training and mentoring We will be making our final choice by 4pm.
