AAK’S Collection making way to the global markets

Having the love for fashion and towards the development of fabric in Africa, Akosua Afriyie Kumi whose popular fashion brand’s name is AAKS, had the aim of helping local weavers in the northern part of Ghana with the skills of weaving and creating sustainable jobs where hand-crafted colorful bags are made.

In 2014, Akosua Afriyie Kumi an ethical handbag designer, launched her AAKS collection using only natural fibers like raffia and leather, all Ghanaian products to create an artistic hand-woven bag. In less than a year, she got listed as an upcoming designer from African by Vogue Italia.
