Mimi magazine as founded by Lola Kingo turned five years old this year.  Since its inception the online magazine has given both African women in Africa and the Diaspora a unique voice.

With intelligent and inspiring sections on Style, Lifestyle, Features, Heart & Soul, Mambo and Africana, the magazine has featured best in Africa and the Diaspora.  In a short span of five short years the likes of Genevieve Nnaji, Noëlla Coursaris, Iman, Noni Gasa, Menaye Donkor, Liya Kebede and much more have graced its cover.

In celebration of the magazine’s 5th anniversary, its new issue is a compilation of the best of Mimi to date. It also includes previously never published images, updates on archive interviews and thoughts from contributors over the years.

On the cover is South Africa’s beautiful Noni Gasa.
