The third edition of Marrakech Fashion Week took place from the 6th to the 9th of March 2024. This prestigious event was organized by Marie Bogaert, who collaborated with Beppe Pisani in his capacity as the manager of the Italian Fashion Team.

Marrakech, distinguished by its esteemed cultural vitality and dynamic art milieu, served as the esteemed venue for the inauguration of the Musée Yves Saint Laurent, in addition to being the illustrious setting for significant fashion events such as the Dior Cruise 2020 and the Louis Vuitton High Jewelry 2022.

In recognition of this heritage, the Marrakech Fashion Week has become emblematic of the city’s standing in the fashion domain.

The inaugural event, established in the year 2022, was marked by the involvement of fifteen distinguished fashion shows. It also showcased the collaborative efforts of twenty-two emerging Moroccan designers. Further, the event featured the engagement of forty-five designers within the prestigious MFW District by Movenpick Marrakech container, a dedicated exhibition space located within the city’s conference center.

Among other novelties, the participation of the Ied Institutes of Rome with the designers Dorotea Oddo, Maria Chiara Sorbino and Iuad of Naples, with the designer Andrea Di Giulio.

Marrakech Fashion Week on this occasion announced the partnership with the two largest fashion schools Collège LaSalle in Montreal and Brega Mode in Marrakech.

The objective of the MFW is to create a meeting and exchange place for high-profile Moroccan and international designers and to promote young Moroccan Talents.

Four locations were chosen for the third edition: Palais Bahia, one of the most important architectural works of Marrakech, Movenpick Marrakech, the Marrakech Congress PalaceM.Bacha, an iconic riad nestled in the heart of the Medina of Marrakech, Al Madeen Golf Resort.

The fashion week opened with the Maison Artc show, founded by the designer Artsi Ifrach, followed in the following days by Elllu Couture, Mila Morelli, Helena Magdalena, Maison du Caftan, Lune de Jour, Karim Tassi, Alphadi.

Representing Made in Italy were the Italian stylists Giovanni Cavagna, with the spring-summer 2024 ready-to-wear collection, giving each piece a contemporary and three-dimensional dimension and Michele Miglionico, with his high fashion collection looks at tradition by telling the cultural heritage, artistic and anthropological of his land of origin, enhancing the elements of Lucanian custom, craftsmanship, sacredness.

Finally, to close the fashion week in Marrakech, the Palestinian designer Jamal Taslaq presented a high fashion collection that reflects the union of different cultures, blending Eastern and Western influences.

During the second evening of the MFW at the Palais des Congrès, the lifetime achievement award was awarded to the stylist Romeo Gigli who received a miniature version of the work Fil roug by the artist Nicola Salvatore, work located in the art garden of the city of Marrakech.

The third edition of Marrakech Fashion Week was a celebration of fashion with the aim of fusing traditional Moroccan craftsmanship with contemporary design, offering a platform for promising talents from the Moroccan and international fashion scene.
