Tice Grandiose Wins NIFW 2024 Fast Rising Designer Competition

The Nook International Fashion Weekend 2024 ended last weekend with Tice Grandiose emerging as the winner of the NIFW Fast Rising Designer Competition. The theme for the NIFW Fast Rising Designer Competition was “Cultural Fusion”. The competition was hosted by Nook International. About 25 designers made it to semi Finals and only ten made it to the finals. Graciously we made to Finals
The winning 6 piece collection from Tice Grandiose was dubbed “KÁSIRIM” and its a collection that culminates the juxtaposing of culture and novelty while making reference to his mother’s fashionable a la mode who believes to be stylish, rules like proportion, colour harmony and dressing to body type must be obeyed.
KÁSIRIM oscillates Tice’s love for eccentric silhouettes, forms and method of embellishment. Its is also domineered by the mandarin collar, intricate hand beading blended with elements of culture. KÁSIRIM is a simple ruling that shares Tice’s thoughts on Nigerian cultural couture.
