Bonang Matheba, Fantana and Other New Faces Roped in for Season 2 of ‘Young, Famous & African’
Netflix has just dropped the official teaser for the highly anticipated second season of Young, Famous & African, the popular unscripted reality show. Viewers can expect the return of the continent’s most prominent and glamorous personalities, as they live life to the fullest and explore romance in the wealthiest area of Africa. With the addition of some fresh faces, this season promises to introduce new characters who will leave their own indelible mark on the elite group.
Bonang Matheba, the beloved icon of South Africa’s entertainment industry, has a reputation for causing a stir wherever she goes. Joining her is Fantana, the Ghanaian-American rapper and multi-talented star, who wastes no time in leaving her mark on the group and there’s Luis Munana, the Namibian entrepreneur and former Big Brother Africa contestant, who brings an unrelenting intensity from the very beginning.
In season one, an all-star cast was featured, but a lot of unanswered questions were left hanging. Among these questions are what transpired between Diamond Platnumz, Andile Ncube, and Zari Hassan after they unexpectedly met at Diamond’s home. Additionally, the status of the friendships among the cast members remained unclear following various arguments, dramatic incidents, and Khanyi Mbau and Nadia Nakai’s stirring of the pot. Season two promises to shed light on these and other lingering mysteries.
Also worth looking out for is the appearance of Sebabatso Mothibi, a model and socialite, as well as Rosette Ncwana, a supermodel and actress, both of whom have had past romantic involvements with Andile. Considering the previous season’s controversies and conflicts, the inclusion of these two individuals could add to the existing tensions and dynamics within the show.
Season two of Young, Famous & African is set to exclusively launch worldwide on Netflix on May 19, 2023.
