Ghanaian-British Afrobeats musician, Fuse ODG recently launched his line of African dolls named ‘Nana Dolls’.
The dolls are characterized by some unique features such as their names, clothing styles and looks.
Yaa Asantewaa, Nehanda and Miriam Makeba among others, are some of the unique names of the dolls in a way to pay tribute to dark – skinned historic leaders.
The dolls are clothed in African prints and reveal a rich melanin skin tone, as well as their African hair styled to perfection.
The musician urged African parents and guardians to patronize the dark – skinned dolls for their children in order to promote Africa.
He added that having dolls made to represent their skin color will ignite the feeling of self-love and ensure their kids appreciate their race as they grow.
Launching the ‘Nana Dolls’, at the GAME shop in the Accra Mall – Ghana, Fuse ODG hopes the dolls will inspire the younger generation to know their history and the significant traits they posses.
Enjoy these breathtaking photos of the Nana Dolls. Hopefully you can get some style inspiration from a couple of them.
