MANHATTAN, NY — Over a million people were on Times Square to watch the dropping of the crystal ball and welcoming the new year, 2006. Many roads were blocked by the NYPD for the occasion and a block away from the big occasion, a group of Ghanaian entertainers called; Sammy Tuga and Associates were also putting finish touches to their annual big bash; New Year’s Eve Extravaganza.

Sammy Tuga & Associates - Sammy Tuga, E-love (a cut above the rest), Sammy Q (Chicago’s finest), Soul Selector, Dynamic and YawBoss put together an awesome show sending off 2005 and welcoming the new year, 2006 with a bang, bang, bang and lots of champagne on ice all night long.

Prezzo: He has managed to keep fans and writers alike on their toes with his showiness. Last year, he hired a helicopter to fly a distance of less than 100 metres to the venue of the Chaguo La Teenies awards. This year, he entered the venue in a convoy of sleek cars.

The year was a carry-over of the emerging and effervescent “Kenyanish” music so popular with the youth and the young at heart.
